The Dementia Enrichment Center is committed to people with dementia and the people who love them. We offer a free support group and free dementia education classes that are open to the public.
Join us Saturday, August 17 to learn about Understanding & Responding to Dementia-related Behavior in a presentation by the Alzheimer's Association. Space is limited, and registration is required. Classes are offered monthly and address a variety of topics related to caregiving and dementia
Dementia Partners, our support group, meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6-7pm at the Center. It is facilitated by our Founder & Director, Hailey Peek, who is a Licensed Master Social Worker, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer's Association. Throughout the summer, guest presenters have spoken about topics such as hospice and memory care, elder law, and behavior support. This month, speakers include geriatric physician Dr. Chitra Hamilton and former Pastor Jack Williamson.
During our classes and support group meetings we offer an Enrichment Hour for people with dementia. For a small fee, your loved one can socialize and engage while you gain valuable support and skills to help along the caregiving journey.
