In March of 2019 SOS sent similar items to Malawi after Cyclone Idai destroyed infrastructure and crops throughout Southeastern Africa. Working with Dr. Fletcher Padoko in Malawi, we were able to provide medical treatment, water purification equipment and fortified meals to thousands of community members that were hit hardest by the cyclone.
Dr. Padoko was able to join us for our July Meet & Greet where he shared amazing stories about the impact of the humanitarian aid resulting from our shipment. According to Fletcher, the pallet of medical supplies, fortified meals and water purification equipment helped save over 1,000 children! By preventing famine in a region where crops in the field were washed away
and providing primary care supplies, our shipment was able to save lives and provide hope in communities decimated by natural disaster! Ganizani (pictured) is one of those children our supplies saved and we are working to send a full shipment of medical supplies and equipment to save even more children in Malawi!
