A Word from our Executive Director

Welcome August! Wow, what a summer it has been!

After two postponements our annual golf tournament teed off on June 28th and although the temps reached triple digits, we believe it was one for the books! Our Tune-In Tuesdays as well as our After-Hours Network Nights have reached record number attendance. We’ve had a great summer and now we are hitting the ground running for our busiest time of the year!

First up is the groundbreaking ceremony for the brand new Legend Bank downtown branch, and you are invited to come witness this historical occasion on Thursday August 8th at 10am! Join us that evening for our After-Hours Networking at VFW Post 4852 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. The 2nd annual “Kids for Open Arms Lemonade Stand Challenge” is on August 10th, and Tune-In Tuesday with the Fannin Literacy Council on August 20th.

September ushers in our first comprehensive leadership program, Leadership Fannin. This is quite possibly the most exciting addition that we have made to the Chamber calendar, and we are now accepting applications, available below!

We are revving up for Autumn in Bonham with committee meetings every Friday at 12:00pm, and we are actively marketing the ride and securing sponsorship & marketing opportunities for one of Bonham’s most treasured annual events. This event will bring in over 200 bike riders and their families for a full-scale Fall Festival.

Our Christmas theme is set as “Gnome for the Holidays”, bringing back window painting and the popular Lollipop Lane, but also new events that will tie in with our annual tree lighting ceremony and the parade as we strive to make Bonham a holiday destination!

We welcome your input and encourage your participation in the planning of all our upcoming events. Join us on the first Tuesday of each month at noon for our monthly Board of Directors meeting at Holiday Inn Express as together we strive to Build a Better Bonham!

Our mission is to equip individuals to become stewards by providing them with leadership skills and vital information that motivates them to service and by connecting them with life-long business and personal relationships. Bicycle Rally & Fall Festival

The annual Autumn in Bonham Bicycle Rally & Fall Festival is happening on Saturday October 5th! Our planning committee will meet every Friday in August & September, and we always welcome new volunteers!

We are now accepting applications for vendors, food trucks, and carnival games. We are offering our chamber partners some incredible marketing opportunities, and have a sponsorship level to fit everyone's budget!

We are proud to serve the Bonham community for almost 65 years. Our original downtown bank location was built in 1960 so we are very excited to break ground on our new branch building to provide you with full-service banking in one location in Bonham.

In our new location, we will be using materials to reinforce the downtown Bonham history including brick and stonework, details, and colors that will provide extraordinary curb appeal and will complement the downtown area. We have worked closely with our architects to ensure our new bank location maintains the heritage of downtown Bonham and will be a beautiful tribute to the courthouse, downtown square area and to the entire community.
