A Favorite Versatile Veggie (No, It’s Not Cauliflower)
July is about that time when freshly-picked summer squash starts showing up at your  local farmers market or grocery store, and this year we want to make sure you throw some zucchini in your basket! This non-starchy vegetable is a great choice for just about everyone – not only is it just 50 calories in a whole zucchini, but, its mild flavor and texture makes it an easy addition to most recipes. This versatile veggie is also packed with nutrition. Effective Strategies for Managing Anxiety
Anxiety can be especially common among people with neurologic disorders. Understanding why can help conquer it. Research suggests that about half of people with PCA or Alzheimer's disease report symptoms of anxiety, and it's common in many other neurologic diseases, too. But “it's always hard to tell if the anxiety is a manifestation of the condition or if the anxiety is related to living with the disease,” says Danny Bega, MD, associate professor of neurology at Northwestern University in Chicago. Click to Read More from Brain & Life.

Take the Smell Test
When we temporarily lose our sense of smell, we may attribute it to a cold, sinus infection or COVID-19. But ongoing smell loss is linked to Parkinson’s disease risk. In some, smell loss can precede a Parkinson’s diagnosis by up to 10 years. Michael J. Fox Foundation's landmark study is exploring this connection. The study is offering a free scratch-and-sniff test to anyone age 60 and up without Parkinson’s in the U.S. and Canada.
