The High Holy Days are approaching. Shir Ami’s Annual Yizkor Service will be on Monday, September 21st at 4:00 pm at Round Hill Community Church. We are continuing with Shir Ami’s cherished tradition of Yizkor slides.
Creating this presentation is a labor of love by our Rabbi and volunteers, but its preparation is multi-faceted and time consuming. Therefore, we have established some guidelines and a hard deadline of August 7, 2026.
This means that (1) all members in good standing as of August 7, 2026 can include loved ones; (2) to be in good standing, members must renew and make full payment (or alternative arrangements must be confirmed with leadership) no later than August 7; and (3) submissions of new, corrected, or deleted slides must be received no later than August 7. Those who have not renewed by this date or submitted their materials will not have slides included. Of course, should there be an untimely event after August 7, the addition of a new slide will be made at the member’s request.
HOW TO UPDATE THE SLIDES
This is the link to last year’s slide presentation for your reference. DO NOT EDIT THE ACTUAL PDF SLIDES.
Make all additions, deletions and corrections in an email with the following information so that we can accurately make and track the corrections:

DATE: Actual submission date [no later than 8/7/2026]
Information to be included in the email (use the current slide presentation as a guide):
To add a slide:
- Member’s name
- Loved one’s name
- Loved one’s date of birth and date of death
- Loved one’s relationship(s) to the member family
To delete slide:
- Member’s name

The 2025 slide number on the actual slide in the presentation and the name of the loved one. Indicate “delete”.
To correct a slide:
- Member’s name
- The 2025 slide number on the actual slide in the presentation, the name of the loved one, and the desired change.
