What’s Happening at Fall Summit?

The 2024 ISA Fall Summit is right around the corner and promises to be the best yet! The Women in Industry Track is centered on balanced brilliance and how to empower women to thrive in work and life. Six new education sessions will address career success, personal balance, emotional wellness, financial stability, team dynamics, and conflict resolution.

In addition to an excellent education offering, the Fall Summit will be packed with networking opportunities, including a pre-event meet-up, opening party, walking club, dodgeball tournament, sideline social, WII excursion, networking breakfast and lunch, and professional headshots.

Get ready to explore two exciting NEW programs from Women in Industry at this year’s Fall Summit:

  • WII Mentorship Program: The WII Mentorship Program will be open for applications at Fall Summit. The WII Leadership team will be on hand to explain the program and answer your questions about participating.

  • First Friday Coffee Chit Chats: After the Fall Summit, join our monthly virtual networking sessions. The first four sessions will recap key Summit topics, allowing those who missed or switched sessions to catch up and dive deeper into the discussion. Watch LinkedIn for more updates!

Nice to Meet You, Michelle!

Manager Channel Partner Sales, Kennametal

How did you get started with Women In Industry?

I recently joined the Women In Industry group after meeting many of the members during a WII evening mixer at the 2024 ISA Convention in Charlotte, NC. The WII group discussed diversity and inclusion in the workplace which is a topic that is important to me both personally and professionally.

You will be attending the Fall Summit for the first time this year. What are your expectations? What are you looking forward to the most?

I am very excited to attend sessions, participate in discussions, make new connections and renew relationships. I am looking forward to meeting current and future members of the WII Group at Fall Summit as well as connecting with our Emerging Leaders and Channel Pros!

Elevating Women's Voices in the Industry

As we look toward the future of the manufacturing industry, the inherent value of having more women actively engaged in manufacturing and industry cannot be overlooked. Greater gender diversity not only fosters creativity and problem-solving but also reflects a larger societal shift toward equality and fairness in all professional spheres. Women bring unique perspectives and skills to the table that may be lacking in a more homogenized group of mainly men.

The 2024 Fall Summit Women in Industry track stands out as an opportunity to shine a spotlight on the importance of gender diversity in this industry specifically, providing a platform for women to network, learn, and lead. If you attend, be sure to take advantage of the tailored workshops, networking opportunities, and panel discussions from some of the most brilliant women making names for themselves right now.

What Should WII Listen To?

The Grace To Pass The Compliment On

by Erika Rothenberger

Erika Rothenberger is one of our featured speakers at the Fall Summit. She has a podcast called Grit, Grace, and Glitz where each week she interviews a new person. The theme of her podcast is to get gritty, give yourself the grace you deserve and to celebrate all the glitz that comes to you.

I listened to her podcast called “The Grace to Pass the Compliment On” which featured Celine McGee who started The Compliment Squad. They discuss the impact you can make by passing along a compliment and encourage you to not be afraid of complimenting a stranger. The Compliment Squad’s mission is to spread smiles, kindness, and human connection. One compliment at a time. I encourage you to listen to the podcast to learn more about Erika and about the Compliment Squad. We are looking forward to hearing Erika speak at the Fall Summit!

Chantelle Moore, CRC

"Attending Fall Summit reminded me that we are part of something more; of how all of us interconnect and work together to serve our customers and our communities. The sessions are top-notch, and the event is well organized. If you need any professional development credits to maintain a certification – this is a fantastic way to earn them quickly in one place."

Jennifer Maynard, Seco

"For the last two years, I attended the ISA Fall Summit as part of the WII network. Every year I leave feeling empowered and in awe of the strong, professional women who share their knowledge and experiences with the rest of us. In 2023, we even had a few men participate and created some great diversity and perspective in our discussions. Loved it!"

Caroline Harris, Vallen

"My favorite part of past Fall Summits has been the people I have met. I have lifelong friends, as well as colleagues, thanks to these Summits. I highly recommend this event to anyone trying to expand their network!"
