Advisory Panel Selects 2018 Lighthouse Activities
Our Advisory Panel came together last month to select another amazing group of Lighthouse Activities. We are excited to announce the winning initiatives next month and celebrate them at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference in Katowice, Poland. Stay tuned!

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate their game-changing climate action projects. Your efforts to create a low-carbon, highly resilient future are building ambition to implement the Paris Climate Change Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

And the Winners Are ... to be Announced in New York!
We will announce the 15 winners of the 2018 Momentum for Change Award during a special event at Climate Week NYC on 27 September.

Climate Week takes place between September 24-30, in New York City and has been driving climate action forward since it was first launched by The Climate Group a decade ago.

We are thrilled to shine a light on inspiring global climate action once again and are convinced the 2018 Lighthouse Activities will inspire and empower the world to continue taking climate action!

Keep an eye out for the list of winning activities on our Facebook and Twitter on 27 September.
New Videos Showcase Climate Action
Our new video series profiles positive, transformative climate action stories from across the globe.

Let the videos guide you on a trip around the world for an in-depth look at the inspiring work being done by the 2017 Momentum for Change winners under the Planetary Health and Climate Neutral Now focus areas.

Here are two of the videos we are featuring this month:
  • We Care Solar's sustainable energy for safe childbirth: We Care Solar works to ensure women can safely deliver their babies by bringing solar power to remote, off-grid, under-resourced medical centers.
  • California's Net Positive Wine: Fetzer Vineyards is leading the wine industry in sustainable practices by growing 100% organically in their Mendocino vineyards since the 1980s, becoming the first Zero Waste certified wine company in the world, and the first winery in California to operate on 100% renewable energy.
