Betty’s Books, founded in 2021, is a unique, independent bookstore in Webster Groves, Missouri, specializing in comics, graphic novels, manga, and children’s literature. We started with a goal to create a family-friendly, community-oriented, and inclusive shopping experience, providing an opportunity for anyone to enjoy the wide range of books in the comics format, from expert to novice. Our belief is that graphic books are for everyone, and we are committed to spreading the word to help those in our community find their next great reading adventure. We also host events such as creator/author events, storytimes, D&D gaming nights, picture book club and the Future Cartoonist Society. We were also voted as one of St. Louis' top three bookstores in St. Louis' Magazine's A-List this year, as well as being selected by the editors as the best reading nook. |

Betty Bayer, the owner of Betty's Books, studied Art History at Washington University in St. Louis and holds Masters degrees in Library and Information Science and Education. Before starting her own business, she worked as a public librarian and as a high school English teacher. She is also the proud mother of two young book lovers. |
