Dear Valued Patrons,

I'm beary excited to share something special with you! On Saturday, September 20th from 12pm - 4pm, APPL is hosting "Help Bear the Build" - a heartwarming fundraiser for our new library building. Families and students will have the opportunity to build their very own teddy bear while supporting our new library building. For just $22, you and your student will stuff a cuddly bear, give it a heart, add a special bandana, and name your new furry friend. Each bear even comes with a personalized birth certificate! It's the perfect blend of family fun and community support, and I can't think of a better way to help build something lasting for our town. Every single dollar we raise from this event goes directly toward our new library building. So, you're not just making memories, you're helping create a space where countless future memories will be made. The order deadline is August 21st, so don't wait! You can pay in person at the library or visit www.appl.info to register online. Trust me, this is one fundraiser that's going to be absolutely unbearable to miss!

Warm regards,

Tammy Bear

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Graduation

Graduation Celebration: Saturday, August 23rd at 10:30 AM - Join us as we celebrate your child's HUGE reading achievement!

About the program

Reading to your child builds early literacy skills, strengthens bonds, and creates memories that last a lifetime. Join our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program where it's simple and fun to track your reading journey! Read any books to your child, count books read by others like siblings, grandparents, or teachers, (yes, repeat reads count too). Track your progress and earn prizes for every 50 books read, leading up to a special graduation ceremony at the library. Go at your own pace. Stop by the children's desk to get your log and start giving your child the gift of reading!

Tech Tuesdays

Are you looking to build confidence with computers and technology? Join our friendly library staff every Tuesday at 2:00 PM for Tech Tuesdays – a welcoming space designed to help community members develop essential digital skills at their own pace.

Each week features a different topic tailored to help you navigate today's digital world with confidence. Our sessions cover practical skills you can use every day, including introduction to email, online safety, and more.

No prior experience necessary. Our patient, knowledgeable staff will provide step-by-step guidance in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Bring your questions, your device (if you have one), or simply come ready to learn on our library computers.
