Market Updates

After a generally steady July, markets were jolted by a weaker-than-expected July jobs report released in early August. The report showed a decline in payrolls and downward revisions to prior months, suggesting the job market is slowing more than previously thought. As a result, investors have increased expectations that the Federal Reserve may have more flexibility to lower interest rates in the coming months. While a softer labor market bears watching, lower rate expectations helped support both stocks and bonds as investors looked ahead to a potentially more favorable policy environment. But stay tuned, interest rate predictions seem to shift more than Midwest summer weather forecasts, with each new economic report capable of changing the picture overnight and no one exactly sure what Warsh's approach will be.

Upcoming Transition to LPL Financial: What You Need to Know

We would like to provide an update regarding our upcoming transition to LPL Financial, which we first shared with you last year.

As you may recall, LPL Financial, our former broker/dealer, acquired Commonwealth Financial Network, our current broker/dealer, in 2025. As part of the ongoing integration process, client accounts will transition to LPL's platform this November.

We are pleased to share that, for most accounts, no action will be required and no paperwork or signatures will be needed. Most importantly, this transition will not affect your investments or your fee structure. We will continue to keep you informed and provide additional details as the transition date approaches.

Negative Consent Letter Mailing: Beginning this month, you will receive documents related to the conversion of your account(s) to LPL’s platform. These materials will include new client agreements and regulatory disclosures and will be delivered either electronically or by mail, based on your current communication preferences.

This transition will be completed through a negative consent process, which means your consent is assumed unless you notify us otherwise. As a result, you do not need to sign or return any documents, and no action is required on your part.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We appreciate your continued trust and look forward to continuing to serve you through this transition.
