As summer transitions into autumn, we hope you’ve all had a great start to the new school year. We're excited to share the latest happenings and heartfelt moments from The CARE Center as we head into August and beyond. Your unwavering support has continued to power our mission. From so many kind volunteers giving their time, to local partners stepping in with resources, to donors who continue to support us, August has been a month of encouragement and impact.
We are also excited to share that several new monthly donors have joined us to kick off our 25th Anniversary Giving Campaign. Our goal is to secure 25 new monthly donors of $25 each before the end of 2025, and this momentum has us off to a strong start. These faithful gifts provide steady support that allows us to plan for the future and ensure our programs remain strong for the families who depend on us. If you haven’t yet joined, we invite you to become one of our “25 for 25” donors. Your commitment of just $25 per month can make a lasting difference in this community.
Now, we’re gearing up for our upcoming Don’t Fret, Just Prep event on September 20th! This special day is designed to empower high school juniors and seniors with the tools they need for their next chapter. From college prep and job opportunities to workshops covering FAFSA, financial planning, and choosing the right school, it’s a chance for students to gain confidence and clarity about their future. We’d love for you to spread the word and encourage the students in your life to join us. Local employers are also invited to set up tables and connect directly with the next generation of leaders. Finally, we look ahead with excitement to our biggest event of the year… Our Gregg Berens Memorial “I Golf Because I CARE” Fundraising Tournament is coming up on October 17th. This day is our one and only fundraiser event of the year and the backbone of funding for programs that bring hope, help, and healing to our community.
