Advent Calendars
We have gotten in our favorite wooden advent calendars. With classic scenes like Santa flying through the night sky, nativity (there is a musical and non-musical version), and a happy snowman family. These calendars are a fun keepsake to count down the month of December. These calendars make great gifts for children and can be filled with candy, small toys, and little trinkets. These calendars make great gifts for adults too. This past year, our family and friends filled the calendar with memories for our parents. Every night, they opened a door to reveal a different family memory to read.
Alpine Village
Many glockenspiels in Germany date back a century or more and have become huge attractions for visitors. People gather to watch the characters rotate at scheduled times, often with clarion bells accompanying the show. True to traditional glockenspiels in Bavaria, the rotating figures on this building depict medieval characters. The Rhineland Glockenspiel has artistic decal art representing old world fresco paintings and the beautiful clock is set to the Department 56 iconic 5 to 6. This glockenspiel is complete with animated figures that rotate on the clock tower. This limited-edition piece is hand-numbered. To coordinate with this beautiful glockenspiel is the Burgermeister which is German for Mayor. This city leader can set his watch to the trusty Glockenspiel, the beautiful highlight of his hometown.
Beautiful exterior frescoes and unique shell shaped windows highlight this beautiful church, our rendition of the Holy Ghost Church in Fussen, Germany. The magnificence of the Sea inspired the designers and builders. Charming details from the sculpted bells in the tower. Don’t forget to complete this scene with the Family Outing which depicts a family of three strolling the Village, on their way home from service.
There is a new Alpine Village Gate , which would complement any Alpine Village buildings. This specially priced gate features 2 lit lanterns at the entrance. The door replicates an iron gate designed to complement the architecture of this series. Logo type sign welcomes both residents & visitors to this charming place we know & love as Alpine Village.
