A Word From Our Director

For many, August signals the end of Summer and beginning of the school year. For us, we say good-bye to summer activities like Water Ski and hello to Miracle League Baseball (registration is now open). We’re also looking forward to more soccer, the continuation of Bowling and hopefully some pickleball. Our Fall Ball is coming up in November – stay tuned for more info!

Community Brunch is Sunday, September 8. This huge brunch extravaganza benefits five local charities – and Society is thrilled to be one of them! It’s a fun and festive day sure to satisfy the “foodie” in you with many different food stations, live music and an unbelievable raffle – first prize is a new VW Jetta! Tickets to the event are $50 for adults and $25 for children; raffle tickets are $20 each or six for $100…contact us to buy and your purchase supports us directly. Business card sponsorships for our placemats are also available at $250 each. Community Brunch is a fun way to support Society – we hope to see you there!

Please join us for Disability Awareness Night at the Modesto Nuts on Friday, August 9 - tickets are available at our office for only $5 each. A summer night at the ballpark supporting our mission is guaranteed to be a good time!

There are many ways to support us in our mission to increase the quality of life for those with disabilities. Whether it’s attending an event, volunteering, or donating, find the avenue that best suits you and join us – together we can make a difference!!

Cathy
