Building Update:
Our first major exhibit has arrived!
Delivering Waterways
Entering through the second-floor
window
Inside the Museum
Waterways, a 32' long flowing river where children can learn about the origins of water, is now on site and ready for assembly. After lifting each piece through our second-floor window, they were carefully lowered into the Museum. More exhibits are being installed this week. Follow along on Instagram.

We're also excited to share that our doors are officially opening this November!
A Heartwarming Visit
During a special visit to the Museum, Adolfo Carrión Jr, former Bronx Borough President and current Department of Housing Preservation and Development Commissioner, was overjoyed to see our collective dream come to life. The very idea of a children’s museum in The Bronx was given birth in his office in 2005. Both BxCM Founding Board President Hope Harley and Founding Executive Director Carla Precht joined him during this heartwarming visit.
Children Were All Smiles As Museum Joins District 14’s First Community Block Party
BxCM guided children through smile-worthy STEAM activities, including mixed-media collages on paper plates inspired by healthy foods. The event, held July 30th, was hosted by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, NYC Council Member Pierna Sanchez and Committee for Hispanic Children and Families.
