Summer School & Camp Invention
Both the Summer School program and Camp Invention wrapped up during the month of July. Both were a huge success, and afforded our students an opportunity to extend their learning beyond the normal school year.
Camp Invention
July 16 - 20
Thank you so much for having your child participate in our week of Camp Invention. It was great to see the students from the Holy Hill Area School District (and a few other schools) come together to learn about different inventors and create their own unique inventions.

What a phenomenal week! 107 students and 11 Counselors-In-Training participated in Camp Invention from July 16 - 20.

Introducing Mr. Ryley Laird, Friess Lake Elementary School Principal
Greetings HHASD,

I am Ryley Laird and I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to be a part of the Holy Hill Area School District as the Principal of Friess Lake Elementary School! I look forward to honoring the many outstanding traditions that Friess Lake and Richfield have worked hard to establish and are proud of! Also, I am excited to meet and work with the students, staff, parents, and community surrounding Friess Lake Elementary School to further strive for excellence for our kids.

A little about me… I am a small town guy; born and raised in the country roads of Shullsburg, WI. Enrooted in everything I do is small town family values; everyone working together to help one another achieve their goals and dreams. My wife (Talia) and son (Ramsey) and I have planted our roots in Oconomowoc and are very excited to be a part of this district and community!

Warmly,
Ryley
Mr. Laird was selected from a very talented pool of 79 principal applicants where he completed a rigorous interview process consisting of three interviews and twenty-three interviewers. He enters the HHASD having served in a K8 district as a 2nd and 5th grade teacher, Athletic Director, and Dean of Students; and most recently served in Greenfield as a Middle School Associate Principal. Welcome Mr. Laird!

Holy Hill Organization of Parents & Staff
HHOPS
Over the past few weeks, your parent volunteers have been connecting and working to bring together FLIPP and RAPT to form HHOPS. Our first official meeting has been set for Tuesday, August 7th at 6:00 pm in the Friess Lake Library.

This year, we are looking for a new members to join the team. We are looking for both new members as well as those interested in serving as officers. Our goal is to have a strong representation of both staff members to present at meetings and parents to discuss ideas, sponsorship opportunities and events. Through these meetings, we hope to understand how different things will impact the students and the classroom and how HHOPS can support the schools.

If you'd like to help, please join us August 7th or please feel free to contact Chris Gartzke if you have any questions.
Transportation Survey
Your assistance is requested to complete this form for EACH child. In order for GO Riteway to have accurate and efficient routes, we need to know which eligible students plan to ride the bus. Any stop that is not the student’s home address is NOT rolled over from year to year. Additional questions related to 2018-2019 routing requests may be directed to GO Riteway at (262) 677-3282. Thank you in advance for your assistance in completing this survey.

New Phone System
Phone Extensions will be changing...
Holy Hill Families -

There is so much work being done to prepare of our inaugural school year! Today, Wednesday, August 1 we will be switching over to a new phone system. This means that as of noon today our extensions will be changing. Our current numbers: (262) 628-1032 for Richfield Middle and (262) 628-2380 for Friess Lake Elementary will still be the numbers you call initially to reach us.

If you call us after hours, you will be able to look up extensions in the system. If you call during the day, you will talk to a person to help you get where you need to go. This upgrade is an example of addressing a need that both districts had separately, and the solution allows us to move forward together to provide better reception and connectivity.
