Reaching Our World For Christ
From Your Associational Mission Strategist
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! We had a terrific summer of association camps and two fantastic mission trips. We just returned from Pittsburgh as I am writing this article. This year we had the opportunity to work with Pastor Hogan James at Faithbridge Community Church in McKees Rocks. Our team of twelve went out into the community around the church and gave out fliers and had conversations with people about the cookout the church has for the community on Wednesdays in the summer and for the block party that was held last weekend. The church had over 100 people at both events and it was a blessing to be able to have gospel conversations and serve alongside this growing church in an area that is in a poverty and crime-stricken place of Pittsburgh. I want to thank each of you who prayed not only for the Pittsburgh mission team, but for the North Georgia mission team as well.
Let me encourage every church of our Association to attend our Annual Meeting at Pinecrest Baptist Church on September 8th. This year we will have Joe and Kim Stanley leading our worship and Rev. Randy Mullinax will be our guest preacher. We will also have a time of celebration of all that God has done this past year in our Association through our evangelist efforts within our churches and our joint mission efforts within the Association. This meeting will have a brief business session for those who are voting messengers, but most of our time will be spent in praise and worship! This is a time for every church and its members to attend as we come together to hear from God as well as a fellowship time after the meeting. You will be hearing more about this meeting in the coming days, but please do your best to attend!
See all of you next month!
