Newsletter for August 2020
President's Report
Hi Everyone,

We had our July Board meeting on Tuesday July 21, we were hoping that we could set an opening date for the Center. With the numbers rising in B.C. and some new cases on the Island, these plans are now on the back burner.

This news was very disappointing and I know some of you are feeling very lonely and are looking forward to the opening of the Center. The Board will be meeting again in September. Hopefully the news will be better and we can once again start planning.

We still need more volunteers now to be prepared for when we do get the all clear from the health board. Please let Maureen Nelson know if you would be interested to help in the kitchen. For daily shifts we need cooks, servers, prep people and dishwashers.

We plan to have the kitchen open as this is our main source of revenue.

There will be no pick up for books, puzzles or yoga mats during the month of August as I will be away.

Keep safe and know that the Board is working hard to open the Center.
