“The month of August had turned into a griddle
where the days just lay there and sizzled,”
― Sue Monk Kidd, The Secret Life of Bees
| |
Whether you’re headed back to school and the football field, or stealing these last few days of summer sizzle, August got here quick and feels like it’s leaving even faster!
While most of us wish time would slow down some, August does lead to
autumn! And who doesn’t love autumn? Especially with our big anniversary gala just a month away! Wahoo!

We are celebrating our 60 years in ministry in grand style!
2023 Building Hope Gala: Celebrating 60! Sponsored by McEntire Produce.
Thursday, October 5 at Seawell’s – 6-8 p.m.
What a night we have planned! Think inspirational dinner theater with ALL the glory going to God!
It starts with the very talented Kelly Nash of iHeartRadio, who is our evening’s emcee.
| |
In addition to a free and delicious dinner, enjoy a surprise “sweet spot” dessert, sponsored by our friends at Southeastern Freight Lines!
Then, prepare to travel back in time with us to 1963 and the founding of our ministry. We have an unexpected and impactful live production planned just for you!
See for yourself the story of how one man who met Jesus in his jail cell dedicated his life to releasing countless others from the shackles of drugs, alcohol, and incarceration!
It costs nothing to register or attend. We do pray God will lead you to support our ministry as you are able, and that this night will truly be unforgettable!

Pray for the technicians and musicians that are working this minute to present a unique anniversary gala program.
PRAISE!
Praise for God’s provisions and for some very generous donors who He used to especially bless us – not just financially, but with generous gifts of water, linens, pillows, and hygiene kits.
Praise for our new chapel and our ongoing plans to use it in even more and creative ways to bless our men and point them to Jesus Christ.
Praise for the resident men God is growing and restoring here at Providence Home. They are a light on our campus and in our ministry.
