What's Up at The Warehouse!
August 2020 Newsletter
From the Executive Director:
Donna Murray-Tiedge, MFA, Ph.D.

Hello Friends of the Warehouse,

As I reflect back on June and July 2020, I recall many smiles on many faces that created a toad house, or threw a pot, or painted a birch tree, or shared their talent at Open Mic, or sat at Inspiration Bar to take in some authentic music created by local talent, just to name a few. These smiles signal that in spite of these difficult times, we are achieving our mission.

As we enter the back end of this unique summer season, we are grateful for all donations and grant awards we are receiving to help with our costs relating to the COVID19 closure and subsequent program adjustments. Especially now we rely on these gifts to keep our programs going. As we continue to adapt our activities to meet our new social distance reality, we are seeking members with expertise in accounting, bookkeeping, fundraising, knowledge of our business community, and marketing and event management to serve on our Board. In addition to monthly meetings, our Board members serve important roles within various committees including Building and Grounds, Fundraising, Marketing, Programming, and Volunteers.

I invite anyone interested to attend a meeting to learn more about what this community service
commitment entails. Contact Angela or any current board member for more information on meeting dates and times. Our active board participates in all facets of our offerings. Join our efforts in bringing creative opportunities to all who work and play in our cherished Northwoods.

There are many ways to be a part of the Warehouse community: volunteering our time, donating supplies or funds, or speaking to others we know regarding participation, sponsorships, or support. We are all in this together. Stay well, stay safe, and we hope to see you soon.

Dr. Donna
