COVID-19 Updates
Please be aware that Outdoor Buddies will be following all state and local guidelines for our events, including the mandated use of masks and social distancing. If you have a fever or other flu-like symptoms, have traveled out of state in the past 2 weeks, or have been in close contact with anyone testing positive for COVID-19, please do not attend these events. Furthermore, if you are in a high-risk category, carefully consider your risk before attending. Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to attending events until further notice.

We will be continuing to update our events and precautions as the situation develops. Thank you for your patience, optimism, and understanding. Hope all is well with you and yours!

Reminder: Please Let Us Know If You Got a License
The 2020 big game season is almost here! If you were selected for a hunt and drew the tag you applied for, please let Dan Brown know.

This is important because we need to get the information to the hunt coordinators so they can contact their hunters and make the necessary arrangements for the hunt. Most deer and elk hunters have already contacted Dan, but many of the pronghorn hunters have not. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

As far as we can tell as of right now, we will be conducting our hunts as planned. The coming months will tell as to what precautions we will need to take, but we are very excited to go hunting with you this year.

Please remember that these hunt slots are limited and we want to take as many people hunting as possible--any last minute cancellations will result in ineligibility to hunt with Outdoor Buddies the following year (exceptions made for emergency situations).
Swift Ponds Family Day Saturday, August 15th
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Please do not attend if you have any flu-like symptoms. Observe social distancing from others who are not members of your party. Bring a face covering for instances in which social distancing cannot be properly maintained. This is an outdoor event spread over a large area to keep participants safe. Waivers must be signed in order to participate.

The 2020 Outdoor Buddies Family Day at Swift Ponds will be held on Saturday, August 15th. Please bring your family and friends to enjoy the day with Outdoor Buddies! Bring your sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters to make memories and build relationships.

There will be catch and release fishing, archery, BB gun shooting, and .22 shooting for beginners and experienced shooters! Swift Ponds has handicap-accessible fishing docks for those on wheels.

Due to renovations at Swift Ponds, we will not have trap shooting available this year. Instead, we will have .22 rifles available to shoot.

There will be equipment available for each of the activities, but please feel free to bring your own fishing equipment and .22 rifle.

Due to the current COVID situation, please bring your own sack lunch to enjoy with your family since we will not be able to serve a meal this year.

We will have on hand the Outdoor Buddies shuttle bus, track chairs, Bad Boy Buggy, Arctic Cat UTV, and ATV with go-getter to help those who need assistance in getting to the different activities.

There will be some bucket raffle items for which you can buy tickets for chances to win some fun items for the whole family! This is a great way to help defer the cost of this fun day, but nobody is required to buy tickets! Come and have a fun filled day with your family and friends!

Directions to Swift Ponds: Take Interstate 25 north to Windsor Exit 262, turn right onto Highway 392. Take Highway 392 east to County Rd. 5, turn left onto County Rd. 5. Take County Rd. 5 north to County Rd. 36 (Ketchter Road). Turn Left onto County Rd. 36, the Swift Ponds gate will be on your left.

The event will take place at the Stevens Gulch handicap-accessible fishing area.
