Judge Covington’s Portrait Unveiling
On July 21, 2022, we celebrated the portrait unveiling of U.S. District Judge Virginia Covington at the Tampa Theatre. In 2020, after 16 years of distinguished service, Judge Covington assumed senior status. In recognition of her service, Judge Covington received a commemorative portrait that will be placed in the Ceremonial Courtroom on the 17th Floor at the Sam Gibbons U.S. District Courthouse in Tampa. In addition to unveiling her portrait, Judge Covington’s ceremony included wonderful tributes by Hon. Charles R. Wilson of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Chief Judge Timothy Corrigan of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and Hon. Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit regarding her many accomplishments, community involvement, and dedication to the rule of law. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful event including the Middle District of Florida Bench Bar Fund and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

YLD School Supply Drive and Social

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association had a great night at Cigar City Brewing partnering with the Hillsborough County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers to host a “Back-to-School” social and school supply drive benefiting The Joshua House.  Big thanks to Guerra King P.A. and Banker Lopez Gassler P.A. for their generous sponsorship! A special shout out to Joseline Hardrick for her generous donation of copies of her self-authored book “All Rise! At the Courthouse.” Thank you to everyone for their participation and attendance. We had over 65 people show up for the social and many more donate through the supply drive.
