Nonprofit Spotlight

Sitrin Health Care Center

The Wesley and Marion Small Fund, a field-of-interest fund at the Community Foundation, has awarded a grant to the Sitrin Health Care Center to purchase a cabin for Camp Sitrin’s Cabin Community.

The cabin will be used by veterans in Sitrin’s Military Program, which is designed to treat veterans and service members experiencing physical, emotional, and cognitive issues. The program provides personalized treatment options and social activities based on individual needs and interests.

Camp Sitrin's 142-acre property includes a 10-acre lake, nature trails, playing fields, and pavilions. The camp is primarily used for two events: the yearly youth fishing derby, and the annual Warrior Retreat, part of Sitrin’s Military Program. Those who visit camp for these events are able to row the waters of the camp’s reservoir, play outdoor games on the lawn, enjoy lunch under the pavilion, and camp out under the stars. Learn more about Sitrin Health Care Center by visiting www.sitrin.com.
