The Edge Will Be Cashless on August 28


You can leave George Washington, Abe Lincoln and the other guys at home when you visit The Edge recreation facility.


Starting this week, The Edge is transitioning to a cashless system. Our cool merchandise as well as yummy food and beverage concessions will be available for purchase with Apple Pay, Google Pay and all major credit cards. Beginning Monday August 28, cash will no longer be accepted at The Edge.

Pools at Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center are Open


In the coming weeks, crews will continue to install the long-term HVAC components, as well as the leisure pool’s new slide. Meanwhile, you can enjoy comfortable temperatures and reduced humidity at the Aquatics Center right away.


We sincerely thank you for your patience through this extended pool closure, especially with the excessive Texas heat.

Allen Senior Recreation Center will be closed the week of August 21-25 for annual maintenance and cleaning.


ASRC members may use Joe Farmer Recreation Center during this time.

Bring your favorite leashed furry, four-legged friends for an afternoon of fun, activities and treats at Bethany Parks Lake.


Sponsored by Timber Ridge Animal Medical Center and Veterinary Emergency Group, this tail-wagging-worthy event will have treats provided by Tractor Supply and Tarts & Treats.


The Allen Animal Shelter will be on site with adoptable friends to close out the Clear the Shelters event.

Enjoy an afternoon relaxing in the park at REV's Picnic in the Park presented by Credit Union of Texas. Games and entertainment provided by the Let's Play! Recreation Enrichment Vehicle.


The Credit Union of Texas food truck will be on site (making the picnic part easy) providing Hot Dogs, Chips and a Drink to all registered.


Event is $5 per person. Children under the age of 10 are free.

Grab your skates and put on your favorite throwback 90's skating attire. Meet at the rink for a night of music featuring Ninety to Nothing. Concessions available. Roller skates not provided.
