 Special Delivery!

The spring and summer months have brought us warm weather, rain, and plenty of kittens. This summer we have been averaging about 40 adoptions a week, with most of them being kittens.

Our staff members, foster families, and volunteers have worked hard to help raise, care for, and prepare the kittens for adoption. The amount of supplies needed for all of our kittens is daunting and because we solely rely on donations, sometimes our stock can get dangerously low. We recently had been close to running out of dry and canned kitten food, kitten milk replacer, and cat toys so we put out a plea for help. Within two days we had boxes upon boxes of kitten supplies sent from generous supporters through our Amazon Wish List

It was as if we had thrown a birthday party and CRHS was getting all their favorite gifts. We had a blast opening all the boxes and receiving much needed goods. Alexander, our office cat also had fun investigating the new supplies and making sure he could sit in all the boxes.

To see our supporters come together to help us in a time of need was truly inspiring. It encourages us to continue our mission of saving homeless animals in our community. If you donated, I want to personally thank you on behalf of our animals here at CRHS.

We are always needing a variety of supplies to care for all the animals that come through our doors. If you would like to donate, you can find our Wish List on our website including our most needed items here.

Again, thank you to all of our supporters, we couldn't do what we do without you!

 Featured Pet: Elsie

Elsie is a 12 year old spayed female that will always discuss her day with you. She loves napping by the window and watching birds fly by. She can be a little cautious of new situations and people, but when she wants attention, she will let you know! Her perfect home would include a comfy bed to lay in and a sitting spot by the window.

Elsie may coexist with other pets if given a slow and proper introduction but would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She would do best in a home with older, respectful children (15+).

If you're looking for a companion to sit on the couch and talk about your day with or discuss life's biggest conspiracies, Elsie is the perfect cat for you!

 Get Involved
There are several ways you can become more involved with our shelter. You can spend your free time socializing with the animals by becoming a volunteer , participate in and attend one of our many fundraisers or events , sponsor a kennel , become a foster parent or simply make a financial donation online. However you want to help, know that it is greatly appreciated and truly does impact the lives of the thousands of homeless animals that enter our shelter every year. We need your help to help them!
