Summer might be winding down, but MPA is ramping up! Here’s a look at all the exciting preservation happenings and events coming soon:

Cream City Brick Symposium

Have you registered for the Cream City Brick event of the season yet? Join us September 8th at Best Place to celebrate the brick that built our city! (Deadline for registration Friday, September 1st)

What MPA is doing:

We have reached out to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, as well as the City of Milwaukee to make them aware of the building's state of disrepair. Should the Archdiocese bring forward an application for demolition, we will attend the Historic Preservation Commission and voice our dissent.

We will be present at the demolition request meeting at the Historic Preservation Commission to voice our concerns over the razing of the building and to voice our dissent.

Join us each month around the Greater Milwaukee Area as we explore historic buildings, adaptive reuse projects, and highlight incredible small businesses - all in an informal social setting!

September Metro Monthly will take place at the stunningly historic Central Standard Distillery!

Join us September 27 at 6pm for a brief history of the building presented by Central Standard co-owner Evan Hughes, then grab a second cocktail and head to the roof for one of the best views of the city.
