Sponsors: We are grateful to sponsors who are signing on to help invest in children's literacy. Sponsors have been, and will be, listed on our website and/or in this newsletter, the RIF RAP. Sponsorship levels start at $100 -- the Bookmark level -- and go to $4,000 -- the Nobel Prize for Literature. Maybe you can get a whole yoga or spin class to donate! Or set up a sponsorship in honor of a favorite teacher, a special librarian, or your grandmother!!! Every little bit helps!

THANK YOU to several new sponsor partners (please read below!). If you would like to sponsor the Book It run or know a business or individual who would like to do so, please contact us at: bookitforbooks@gmail.com .
Speaking of thank you...

Thank yous are in order for some recent contributors, including the Church of the Holy Comforter, board member Lois Toomer and husband Charles Toomer, and the Peter M. and Margaret L. Gill Charitable Fund (a fund of American Endowment Foundation). A special shout out also goes to Maxine McLeod Miller, a RIF of NOVA advisory board member. She celebrated her birthday with a Facebook fundraiser on behalf of books for RIF of NOVA kids! Thank you, Maxine, and all the donors listed above.

RJ and Heidi Narang also deserve an extra special thank you!. They contributed via national RIF's Books For Ownership program. Their donation resulted in book distribution events at four RIF of NOVA sites: Groveton, Mt. Eagle, and Randolph elementary schools, and the ACCA Child Development Center in Annandale. See the photos below to get an idea of the joy that choosing a new book always brings!
RJ Narang read to children at Fairfax County's Mt. Eagle Elementary in Alexandria. From the looks of it, these children were hanging on to every word!
And then there was a special visit from the red guy...always a highlight! RJ is shown here with Mt. Eagle children and RIF of NOVA liaison Mary Frances Daly.
At Fairfax County's Groveton Elementary School, the children gathered around the "campfire" (see the red and yellow plastic wrap!) to hear from Heidi Narang and choose their new RIF books.
RIF of NOVA liaison Rocco DiBonis wrote a blog about the Groveton RIF book distribution. His essay not only captured the fun of the day, but also conveyed the impact that getting a RIF book when he was a child has had on his life and career!

Then, Groveton kids pulled out their "sleeping bags" (okay, beach towels) to read their new treasures. Could faces be any happier than this?
Two heads are always better than one! These two boys at Randolph Elementary School in Arlington shared a moment together over their new RIF of NOVA books! Hey, will you look at this!!!
ACCA kids had reading fun...
...and happy smiles, too!
And now...let's hear a big hurray for some new Book It 5K sponsors!!!

In addition to PGIM Real Estate Finance, our Pulitzer Prize sponsor, a new sponsor has joined Old Dominion National Bank and Bookworm Central's contribution of books at the Bestseller level. It's the Alfred Street Baptist Church! We are so grateful for your investment in our children's literacy! Thank you, Alfred Street community!

We have some new sponsors at the Paperback level, too, along with Books4School. Thank you! Thank you! And did we say, thank you?!!! They are:
