Twelve Rancho Cordova high school students, along with other students from across the region, are back home after spending a powerful, inspiring week touring Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the South. The City of Rancho Cordova proudly sponsored 10 of the participating students, helping make this transformative experience possible.

Ruby's Second Chance

When Ruby stopped eating and started rapidly losing weight—60 pounds in just one month—her dad knew something was terribly wrong. He had already spent everything he had trying to find answers, but the vet was stumped. The only hope left was exploratory surgery—something her dad couldn’t afford.
