Sunset on Charlevoix
If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass,
you live more richly those moments
~Anne Morrow Lindbergh
Greetings!

What did I do this summer? I surrendered! I surrendered to the beauty of love as I witnessed my daughter Jen marry the love of her life. I surrendered to the magic of new life as my twin granddaughters, Addison and Harper, entered the world and my daughter Kim become a mother. I surrendered to the cool water of the lake as I returned, as I have been for over four decades, to Charlevoix. I surrendered to the power of nature as I was awed by this summer's eclipse. I surrendered to many moments this summer despite a "to-do" list a mile long filled with many tasks that remain uncompleted...but I then look at the "have-done" list and I am grateful beyond words.

Wishing you many moments of surrender,
Pam

Stress Resources' Bookshelf

I'm excited about the release of the new book, Altered Traits: Science Reveals How Meditation Changes Your Mind, Brain and Body by Richard Davidson and Daniel Goleman, preeminent scholars in the field of neuroscience and application of mindfulnesss and meditation. As the practice of meditation has moved from a rather fringe activity to evidence based practice it is interesting to understand this evolution and more fully explore the science behind the practice of meditation.

The book is available for pre-order now and will be released on September 5.

If you are in the Boston/Cambridge area you may want to attend the book launch event at the Harvard Book Shop on September 6.

You asked, I listened!

I am often asked for ways to add mindfulness to your everyday living -- especially with kids.

Beginning next month, I will post a monthly Mind the Moment Tip as a how-to-video on my website, StressResources.com

These will be short, actionable and fun to try. I promise none will take more than 5 minutes...most even less!

I am happy to send you a message when the monthly tip is posted...simply send an to me at pressler@stressresources.com

Meet Me at Medicine X

Like the swallows to Capistrano, each year I return to my very special "home" at  Medicine X 2017 at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Medicine X is a unique conference where everyone is included...and where I am re-energized, re-engaged and re-activated to make a difference at the intersection of health, technology, and the human spirit. This year I will be moderating two panels and chairing a session filled with innovative caregivers and thought leaders.

I would love to have you join me at Medicine X, either in person or virtually -- all main stage programs will be livestreamed on September 15-17.
