Greetings!
I want to give a huge shout out to our incredible volunteers! 😊 You all rock! I have been the Volunteer Coordinator for a month now and I am loving this wonderful community we have here at Saranam!
It has been a very busy Summer and we are looking forward to an even busier and exciting Fall. One of our biggest events, the Annual Alumni Reunion, is coming up. This event brings together past and current families for a day of reconnection and community. Please consider helping at this fantastic event!

Details: We need 1 -3 volunteers to help prepare the space for our new families' lunch with our Board of Directors. Volunteers will set up tables and chairs, starting at 9:30.

Orientation Week Desserts

Details: Love to bake? We need a few people to bring a dessert during our orientation week to welcome our new families. It can be simple - cookies, brownies, etc. We will need enough for about 25 people. Desserts will be needed both Monday and Thursday mornings.

Details: Help us to keep our Family Center bright and shiny! This is a quick reset of our family center after a week of activity nights (vacuum, wipe tables, straighten bookshelves, wipe down kitchen) Our Facilities Manager will have a check list of various tasks ready to go.

Details: We’re seeking friendly volunteers to cover our front desk during required staff meetings and scheduled lunch breaks. Volunteers will greet visitors, direct families, and community members to the appropriate staff in our office, and receive packages.

Gardening Supplies 🌱
We are looking for donations for our Growth and Gardening class to put in at the new gardens at our ADC Family Campus . We will need:
- Bags of topsoil, planters and grow boxes
- Garden hand tools and gloves
- Seeds for fall-friendly vegetables (cabbage, radishes, broccoli, chard, spinach, onions and garlic)
Seeds or starter plants for fall flowers and plants (such as pansies, violas, zinnias, marigolds, hollyhocks, and ornamental cabbage, chard, kale, broccoli, lettuces, spinach, peas, carrots, arugula, mustard greens, turnips and radishes) This is not in Volunteer Matrix.

Meal Kits 🥘

Location: either campus
Details: Providing meal kits is a great way to share a budget-friendly, kid-approved meal that families can make again and again. Volunteers provide at least 11 meal kits for our families, complete with detailed recipe and the nonperishable items for the meal. Saranam will distribute to families at one of our campuses.

Once our garden beds are ready and growing, we will need you! Come teach a class on everything growing & gardens. From pest control, to watering, to fertilizing ... we welcome your expertise!

We need your support to make this happen! There are opportunities for both groups and individual sign ups. Volunteer Training
Join us to learn more about Saranam's program, trauma-informed care, and child abuse prevention. This is a required training for anyone wanting to work directly and regularly with Saranam families. We have volunteer opportunites in our Family Activity Nights once you are trained.
