Congratulations to Lyndsey Brantley - Winner of the 2019
HCC Business Plan Competition.
Mayor Sylvester Turner came to celebrate and present an award proclaiming August 8, 2019 as Lyndsey Brantley - Camellia Alise Skin Care Founders Day.

U.S. Congresswoman, Sheila Jackson Lee, representing the 18th District of Texas, also attended to congratulate Lyndsey and welcome her and the Camellia Alise Studio to the heart of Houston's historic Third Ward.
Lyndsey thanked the crowd present for their support and gave special thanks to HCC stating that the funds she won as 1st place winner of the 2019 HCC Business Plan Competition went into this place.
On Friday evening August 16, she hosts her Grand Opening! Next month, she opens more space in the back of the studio and launches a crowdfunding campaign. Best wishes to Lyndsey and her

SCORE's Starting & Running Your Own Business Seminar on August 10 Welcomed More Aspiring Entrepreneurs to HCC
A fast-paced, informative one-day overview prepared attendees for next steps and HCC delivered an excellent pathway thru a robust Fall Calendar
Over 40 attended. It was a great day, with engaging speakers, good food and networking throughout meals and breaks. Surveys indicated that most in the room were interested in the Small Business Success Series by HCC© as their next steps in planning right to make their business dreams into a reality. Was the winner of the 2020 HCC Business Plan Competition (BPC) in the room? We'll see, as those interested take action this fall and applications open up for the 2020 BPC in January!
Over 40 gathered again on August 14 for HCC's new Free Monthly Digital Marketing clinics. It's a great end to the Summer and start to a productive Fall!
