There has been changes to Kentucky's Call-Before-You-Dig Law and these statutes and regulations reflect greater emphasis nationally and at a state level on pipeline safety.

Beginning on July 14, the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) started investigating excavation damage to natural gas and/or hazardous liquid lines determining whether they caused any violations of Kentucky's call-before-you-dig law. If violations are uncovered, the PSC will be able to impose financial penalties.

Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over

Please join thousands of law enforcement officers, State and local safety advocates, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in this year's nationwide Labor Day Weekend impaired driving prevention mobilization.

During the 2019 Labor Day holiday, Kentucky State Police will partner with the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to get drunk drivers off the roads and help save lives.

The high-visibility national enforcement campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over , runs from August 14 through September 2, 2019 . During this period, local law enforcement will show zero tolerance for drunk driving. Increased state and national messages about the dangers of driving impaired, coupled with enforcement and increased officers on the road, aim to drastically reduce drunk driving on our nation’s roadways.
