Teen and Adult Program: Demogorgons and Zenomorphs: The Horror that Influenced Stranger Things

Thursday, August 1 from 7-8:30 pm

Netflix's hit horror/fantasy series owes a lot to the creators that came before it. From 80's horror films, to classic horror fiction, this presentation examines what inspired the chills in "Stranger Things".

Need time and space to be creative? Join us at the Library for an afternoon to relax and create. Work on your craft projects, color, draw, write, plan and more with others. We will have a selection of basic supplies. Participants are encouraged to bring their own materials and projects.

The Grafton Police Department are hosting their fourteenth annual "National Night Out Block Party."

Stop by for free food, giveaways and more. Don't forget to stop by the Library's table!

Teen Movie Night: Captain Marvel

Wednesday, August 7 from 6:30-8:30 pm

Captain Marvel takes you on a spectacular adventure from the 90s, tracing the path of Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe's most powerful heroes. When a galactic war reaches Earth, she meets young agent Nick Fury at the center of a maelstrom, leading to her ultimate destiny as an Avenger.

Sample candy and snacks from around the world and even space!

This free program is open to teens entering grades 6-12. Sign up is required. Not all food labels will be in English. Teens with food allergies are discouraged from attending.

Teen Program: DIY Stationary Supplies

Tuesday, August 13 from 2:30-3:30 pm

Get ready for back to school by making your own stationary supplies. Project choices include feltie paper clips, duck tape pouches and pens and more.

This free program is open to teens entering grades 6-12. Sign up is required. All supplies will be provided.

All Ages Program: Museum of Science Rocket Workshop

Thursday, August 15 - Sessions at 2 pm, 3:30 pm, and 5 pm

Create an air rocket that launches across the room and engineer a way for a payload to return safely to Earth. This hands-on workshop explores the science behind rockets and space exploration. Use your imagination to plan, build, and test your own design.

Please note that this activity uses latex balloons.
