AUGUST TIDINGS 2025

Come Worship With Us!

Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 10:00 am

In our air-conditioned Fellowship Hall

Sermon: "Let’s Talk About Our Mission"

August 3 is Communion Sunday

We will be serving fresh gluten-free bread and fresh juice

for Communion.

A WORD FROM OUR TREASURER

In August, our sanctuary will get a new look. Thanks to an anonymous donation, we will be replacing the carpet.

We have already taken out the pews on the altar area and have removed the first row of pews. This will give us more room for the grand piano, our children's area, communion set-up, and handbells.

♪ SCOTT’S MUSIC NOTES ♫

Hello Trinity Community!

Our Summer services have been off to a great start! And it has been great having so many people attend in person. The energy that we all bring to worship is one of the things I enjoy most. I also want to thank Hai Wei Wang for bringing a beautiful violin solo for us. I hope to hear more from her in the future! Speaking of the future, I hope everyone can continue to join together on Sundays in August. Here is a quick look at what music things are happening at Trinity this month:

  • Sung Benediction - “Bless Now, O God, The Journey” - verse 1 #489 in Chalice Hymnal (no audio example available;)
  • August 3rd - Special Music provided by Tim Cashmore, as well as Communion-themed music.
  • August 10th - Hand Bell Quartet for Special Music
  • August 17th - Service Music & Special Music provided by Pam Jones. I will be on vacation this week, so bring your brave singing voices to support her!
  • August 24th - Selections of music to get us energized for the Block Party.
  • August 31st - Hymn Sing Sunday! If you’re not out of town for the Labor Day Holiday weekend, come out and enjoy some good ol’ singin’ from the Chalice Hymnal. I will be traveling and in my absence, Robin Jubenville will be providing Service Music and Hymn Accompaniments.

Plans are developing for the upcoming Fall Season of our Music Ensembles. If you are interested in attending one (or more) of the rehearsals for any group, don’t hesitate to reach out. No music knowledge is required to participate. Ask Tom or myself about being a “member for a day”.

Until We Meet Again,

Find God in the Music,

ONASJ TEAM

Please join us for Pride Worcester 2025 Event to celebrate and stand up in support of the LGBTQ+ communities on Saturday, September 6th at 1:30PM at LA FEMME Bar (start check in) on Green St., Worcester.

The march could last 2 hrs. We will be running a booth to advertise Trinity Church from 2:00PM- 715PM (earliest that we will be able to pack up and leave).

We will need folks to help set up the canopy, table, chairs and giveaways at 10:30AM and pack up at 7:00PM, on Franklin St near Worcester Common. We need marchers to display our banner and signs.

You may certainly join us for part of the day. It promises to be a fun day full of energy and stimulation. There will be a lot of booths to check out! Bringing your own vehicle would give you more flexibility.

Please email me if you want to go in advance so that we can figure out rides or answer your questions. dgarychin@yahoo.com

OUTREACH TEAM

Although activities usually slow down during the summer, the Outreach Committee

continues to search for opportunities to help within our church and wider community.

  • Continue work to support Michael and Loupenard Messidor
  • Financial and physical support for Rose and Mark
  • We had a hectic, but successful cookout for Community Meals in July
  • The Next date that we are responsible for Community Meals is not until October 8th.
  • Food collection for the food pantry - weekly

Fall is right around the corner and all activities will begin to pick up again. Please keep

your ears and eyes open for opportunities for Trinity Church to serve others.

COMMUNITY EVENT

The Art of Well-Being event is a collaboration with the Northborough Cultural Council, Northborough Trails Committee and Northborough Senior Center. It will be held on

Tuesday, August 12, 4-6:30 PM at the Senior Center.

The family friendly event will highlight art and wellness activities, walks along the new ADA accessible and kid-friendly half-mile trail, chalk art, bubble breathing, guided meditation, art demos, goats from Bracken Hill Farm, and more. There will be an appearance from the ice cream truck too!

The event reminds us that being active in nature, using art to express ourselves and finding ways to have fun and interact with other community members are ways to be mindful of our well-being and helps to form connections. We do appreciate your help in sharing information to the community and hope to see you on August 12!
