Worship services will resume in the Sanctuary on Sunday, September 13. Facebook Live will also resume at that time.

Trinity kicked off its 2026 Capital Campaign on July 12 with a Commissioning Service and potluck lunch. Materials describing the Campaign, how it will Restore and Renew our building, and ways you can contribute, are being mailed and delivered to Trinity’s members and friends.
In addition, information sessions will be offered in the Fellowship Hall on August 2 and 9 following church services to provide additional details on the projects and ways to give to the Campaign. Members and friends are encouraged to sign up for either of these meetings. You can also send questions about the Campaign to Trinitynorthborocampaign@gmail.com.
We are sharing our excitement about the Campaign with the community with banners surrounding the church spire and posters in the building. In addition, as described elsewhere in this issue of Tidings, our next capital project – the insulation of the building to increase comfort and save money – is now underway. The cost of the insulation itself will be paid by the Mass Save program, but proceeds from the Capital Campaign will help pay for preparatory work and related projects such as a vapor barrier beneath the building.
Please review the Campaign materials when you receive them, let the Campaign Team know if you have any questions, and prayerfully consider your contribution. Then plan to Rejoice with Trinity on Celebration Sunday, September 20!

Hello Trinity Community!
Summer worship is in full swing, and what a wonderful start it has been! It has been especially encouraging to see so many familiar faces gathering together each Sunday. One of my favorite parts of worship is the energy we create together through singing, praying, and simply being present with one another.
Thank you, too, for the kindness and encouragement you showed our wonderful piano substitute while I was away on vacation. It means so much to know our church family extends such a warm welcome to everyone who helps lead our worship.
As we continue through August, here's a look at what's coming up musically at Trinity:

August 2 – Hymns and songs celebrating Communion and supporting our theme of “Growing in Faith”.

August 9 – We will begin worship with special music from Hai Wei Wang, who will share a classical piece she has been studying with her violin instructor: Sonata No. 3: Allegro by Handel.

August 16 – Hymns and songs selected to complement the scripture and message shared by Pastor David Fountain.

August 23 – Special Music will feature another handbell selection, this time performed by Tom D., Anna D., and myself.

August 30 – Hymn Sing Sunday! Join us for a morning of singing favorite hymns from the Chalice Hymnal. There's still time to help shape the service by submitting your hymn suggestions! Suggestion forms and collection baskets will be available during Fellowship Hour each Sunday until then. We'll also enjoy a special arrangement of Church in the Wildwood presented by the Low Voice Ensemble.
If you're a member of one of our Music Ministry ensembles (Voice Choir, Worship Band, or Handbell Choir), keep an eye out later this month for information from Tom or me about rehearsal schedules, participation dates, and other details as we prepare for the new liturgical cycle.
For everyone else, there's always room for more voices, more musicians, and more smiling faces—especially at the handbell tables, where there's literally room for more! Whether you've sung for years or have never read a note of music, we'd love to help you find a place to participate. Every ensemble has its own level of commitment, so if you're curious, don't hesitate to reach out to Tom or me. We'd be happy to help you find the group that's right for you.
As summer continues, I hope you'll keep making Sunday worship part of your week. Whether you come to sing, listen, serve, or simply be surrounded by your church family, your presence makes our worship richer. I look forward to sharing another month of music, fellowship, and joyful praise with all of you!

| | EXTERIOR RESTORATION MAINENTANCE TASK FORCE TEAM | | |
Building Insulation Project
The Exterior Restoration and Maintenance Task Force (ERMTF) is happy to announce that the insulation project on our church building is underway.
Trinity is receiving insulation compliments of the MassSave program. The project will remove the insulation in the attic spaces, install insulation in all of the wall spaces, apply spray foam insulation in the attic spaces and finally top the spray foam with blown in cellulose insulation. The goal is to have all of the walls filled with insulation and the attic with an equivalent of R-60 insulation.
Our project partners are BCi Insulation, Inc. They’ve been insulating buildings in New England for over 9 years and have done many houses of worship in eastern Massachusetts. The other company involved is the Willdan Group which focuses on energy transitions and energy efficiency. They are the MassSave administrators in our area.
BCi started their work on July 27th. and we expect the initial phase to take approximately 2 weeks. We don’t expect too much disruption to the flow of activities in the building as they are willing to work around schedules. However, when they apply the spray foam insulation, the building will need to be empty so the building will be closed during the week of August 31 – September 4. Necessary arrangements are being made for the building users. We do not expect this closure to impact Sunday Services on September 6.
All of us on the ERMTF are looking forward to warmer spaces and lower energy bills during the winter.

Support the LGBTQ+ Community
Please join us for Pride Festival 2026 on Worcester Common on Saturday, September 12 from 2:00-7:00PM. There will be over 100 booths
and a music stage.
We will have a booth with give-a-ways and publicity to highlight Trinity Church. Last year, I spoke to several people from social service agencies providing various services to the community. There were also food trucks and crafters.
The atmosphere was very positive! If you would like to help out at the booth or need a ride please let me know.

Potluck Supper Aug 23
The Outreach Team and the Northboro Neighborhood Support Team invite you to a potluck supper to meet and reconnect with the immigrant families in Northboro that we have had the pleasure of working with this past year.
As many of you know, the Northboro Neighborhood Support Team was started by Trinity's Outreach Team in partnership with Northboro community members to welcome immigrant families to Northboro.
Our first family was Rose and her son Mark from Afghanistan. We have also offered support to Michael and his mom, from Haiti, and Rania and her three children, from Lebanon.
All three families have faced their challenges with strength and determination. This potluck supper will be an opportunity for us to honor them and join with them in fellowship. All are welcome!
The dinner will be Sunday, Aug 23rd, at 5pm at Trinity. Bring a salad, entree, or dessert to share. Please RSVP to Jean Leif (jhleif@gmail.com)

Blessings Boutique Updates
The thrift shop has started its summer hours, which are Wednesdays only from 10am to 2pm. The garage will also be open on Wednesdays during the summer/early fall.
We will be having a $10 per bag of clothing sale throughout the month of August.
Clothing donations are temporarily suspended as we have plenty for now. However, household items and small furniture pieces, lamps, vintage-type items, and artwork are needed.
Please see Linda if you have something in mind to donate for the garage.

The plan is to have our new pew cushions made while we are in Fellowship Hall for services this summer. They need the old cushions for exact measurements. If you have wanted to donate but haven't yet, please do!
