Bear Football Families,

I hope this message finds you and you families safe and in good health.
Since Monday, 6/29 for the varsity/JV kids and July 13th for the freshmen, we’ve been able to conduct conditioning trainings. I am proud of the number of kids who’ve participated. Their effort has been outstanding and we’ve seen them grow as athletes and teammates. Unfortunately, beginning Monday, August 17th coaches will not be allowed to have contact with kids and there will be no more workouts until further notice. We need to make sure the players maintain the conditioning they’ve built and are in the process of coming up with a plan that can be done without coach supervision. We hope to resume the Zoom team meetings starting next week. I will connect with the senior leaders on the best time and best way to connect with their “squads.”
If your player is a freshman or didn’t participate in the spring Zoom calls, send me an email (tdavis@tahomasd.us) so we can get your players connected with a group.
Secondly, many of you are probably aware the WIAA has adjusted the sports calendar for 2020-21. Football is in Season 3 and is scheduled to start Wednesday, February 17th. Here’s a link to the WIAA calendars:
We’re in unprecedented times. We need to take care of ourselves, take care of each other, and reach out if you’re struggling. We’ll get through this and be stronger in the end!
