Member Focus: Live Like Blaine Foundation
The Live Like Blaine Foundation empowers and inspires young women to become leaders through athletics. LLB has 4 core programs: (1) an annual leadership conference for high school female athletes, (2) a year-long leadership academy for sophomores, (3) summer camp scholarship programs, and (4) principal support for Harlem Lacrosse Philadelphia. Live Like Blaine aims to develop the next generation of girls to become leaders on and off the field.
This past week, Live Like Blaine welcomed its inaugural cohort of 16 high school sophomore girls to the LLB Leadership Academy. The Academy is a 10-month program combining interactive classroom work, networking opportunities, community service and an overnight retreat. The Academy provides the tools for participants to enhance their personal leadership capabilities through lessons and examples of self-awareness, confidence, teamwork, positivity, resilience and connecting with others. All of this positive personal growth happens alongside a group of fun, talented, and like-minded peers.
