As we kick off the fifth year of Texas College Bridge, we have lots of great news to share with you this month!


As we look forward to the 2024/2025 school year, we provide an update on program participation. Even more importantly, we also have further results to share from the multi-phase, state-wide evaluation assessing the impact of Texas College Bridge on student success. 

Upcoming Webinar: TCB Evaluation Results on Aug. 14


The results from the third phase of the state-wide evaluation of the impact of Texas College Bridge on student success are now in and we are excited to share the details with you at an upcoming webinar on Wednesday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m.


This 30-minute webinar will review the latest results from the evaluation, including first-semester academic performance data and persistence to second semester and second year. This latest evaluation also includes a sub-analysis comparing the performance of Texas College Bridge students with students of other HB 5 college prep programs.

A special thank you to the colleges and universities that have participated in the latest phase of the evaluation – Alamo College, Angelina College, Dallas College, Grayson College, Kilgore College, McLennan College, North Central Texas College, Panola College, San Jacinto College, Texas State Technical College and Western Texas College plus Angelo State University, Sam Houston State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Tarleton State University, UNT Dallas and UT Arlington. 

Texas College Bridge Participation

End of year (2023-24 school year) results are in, and we are pleased to announce another banner year for course completions, as follows:

  • Math Certificates of Completion Earned = 109,615
  • English Certificates of Completion Earned = 96,189


Looking forward to 2024-25, our first year operating under our new fee structure for districts, we are pleased to share that more than 400 school districts across the state signed up to participate in the program so far. We also have more than 100 higher ed partners, including 98% of the state’s community colleges, accepting Texas College Bridge as an indicator of college readiness.

Help Students Access and Share Certificates

Resources are available on our website to help students access and share their Certificate of Completion with college partners. Please make sure your advising and admissions staff are familiar with these resources.



Kick-off PLC for Higher Ed Partners on Sept. 18

Texas College Bridge will be hosting a PLC to kick off the 2024-25 school year for Higher Ed Partners on Wednesday, September 18 at 9:00 a.m. 


The PLC will provide a structured opportunity to hear about program updates, exchange ideas and explore best practices for Texas College Bridge. 


We will also discuss our evaluations of Texas College Bridge and discuss improvements in data management to help continue this evaluation.
