The Presbytery of Tampa Bay

As you may be aware, Oakhurst UMC, Seminole has joined with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and The Presbytery of Tampa Bay in an ecumenical mission to assist Pinellas County with long-term recovery from Hurricanes Helene and Milton.  



Many of you may have been affected by these major hurricanes along with a large number of people in Pinellas County. Eight months after the storms, the community is still in dire need of assistance to rebuild and do finishing work.  

We are currently in the process of transforming three of our upstairs Foundry rooms into dormitory rooms. We will be able to accommodate up to 47 people per night. Relief teams will be sent to us from several different non-profit connections.

• Keynote Speaker: Rev. Anne Russ, a pastor for almost 25 years and founder of "Doubting Believer," will be the featured keynote speaker. She specializes in social media ministry for churches.
