Knitting Korner:

We now have some of the Caron Simply Soft in the store. This is an acrylic yarn that is not expensive, but is great for teaching knitting or crochet and I will be using it for my lessons. It is also a great yarn for making baby blankets and other items to wear. It is washable/dryable, will hold its color and shape, and will look great for years. I have used this yarn for many blankets and I am always being told by the mothers that the children love the blanket so much it is hard to get it away from the children long enough to wash it. I have had parents come back asking for additional blankets because they want to hang the initial blankets up as art on the wall eight years later. We have colors for baby blankets in and may add other colors if there is enough of a demand for it.

Hope this newsletter finds all of you enjoying cool drinks and the rewards of your labors in the garden and on your stitching. We have been busy little bees at home. We have been sorting through things in the garage and storage unit trying to decide what can be sold/tossed/kept. Its amazing what you thought was indispensible years ago, but is not relevant to your life any more. This was all prompted by Heather thinking of ways to make better displays at the store and needing to get the garage cleared out so we can move a piece of furniture into the garage from the store. Additionally my husband has been agitating to get the garage cleaned out so he can set up his equipment and do woodworking/electronic repair. He found out that he can afford to retire in three more years and is ecstatic. So now is the time to get these things done. I'm not getting a lot of stitching done, but I am still taking a few stitches here and there.

Have a wonderful August and be sure to read all the updates and news in the other sections of the newsletter.

Online Store

We are working very hard to open an online version of Exclamation Point. We now have the hardware in place and things seem to be working network wise. Jennifer is working hard on getting all the inventory listings ready to put online. We had hoped to have the store open before this, but it just wasn't to be. However we hope to be announcing an opening date in the next month or two. Please watch our Facebook page for that announcement and we will also post that info in our newsletter when we have it.
