August Art: Terra Feels by Patty Klibansky
Sohier Room, Main Library
This month the main library welcomes an exhibit of paintings by Patty Klibansky in collaboration with Traveling GALA . Patty states, “Nature is my preferred subject in painting, whether it is of a human form, an animal, or a landscape. I utilize spontaneous brush strokes to capture the light, and in the process I reconnect with nature. It is my primary objective to inspire a gaze of our surroundings, causing us to pause, inquire, and feel.” Explore her work at thebrushandfig.com or contact the artist at [email protected] . The exhibit is free and open to the public during regular library hours, when community meetings or library programs are not in progress. There will be an  Artist Meet & Greet on Saturday, August 10 at 2 PM . All are welcome.
Beverly Public Schools: Summer Reading
Teens! Have you done your summer reading yet? The library has copies of all the books on Beverly Middle School’s and Beverly High School’s reading lists . They are located in front of the teen area. Some titles are also available as eBooks or digital audiobooks, check OverDrive , hoopla , or ask a librarian for help.

A few things to remember:

  • Books go out for three weeks and they must be returned. Please plan accordingly so the next person waiting to read the book gets a chance to read it too.

  • If you don’t see the book you want to read, please ask! There may be copies in another part of the library. If not, we may be able to borrow a copy for you from another library or add you to our waiting list. It’s quick and easy! You just need your library card and the book title.

  • If you have any questions about the list or books, ask!
