Celebrating 15 Years of Adventure at iCan! Bike Camp

Our 15th Anniversary iCan! Bike Camp was a celebration of a decade and a half of adventure, determination, and life-changing moments. With 40 riders, more than 100 volunteers, and the continued support of our amazing community, we celebrated the freedom and confidence that comes from learning to ride a two-wheel bicycle.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey and for helping us create 15 years of adventure, memories, and possibilities

  • A big thank you to our iCan! Bike sponsors for making this incredible program possible, to the Orange County Convention Center for hosting our event in such an amazing space, and to Sodexo for generously providing water and snacks throughout the week.

  • Huge gratitude to Katrina (Floor Supervisor) Alaya , (Assistant Floor Supervisor) & Kyle (Bike Technician) from iCan! Shine, and to all the families and riders for allowing us to be part of their inspiring journey.

  • A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers, your support makes our camp a SUCCESS.

  • Let's also give a round of applause to Camille Gardiner and her family for their impactful contributions year after year.

NDSC Award Recognition for Orlando Health & the iCan! Work Partnership

Congratulations to Orlando Health on this well-deserved recognition!

We were proud to celebrate Orlando Health's recognition for their WE BUILD ("Workforce Experience by Bridging Unique Ability Individuals with Learning and Development") initiative that started with The FOUNDATION's iCan! Work Program.

As a founding partner, we've worked together to create meaningful employment opportunities that empower individuals with Down syndrome and other unique abilities to build confidence, develop valuable job skills, and thrive in the workplace.

The celebration recognized the Orlando Health team and our iCan! Work members with unique abilities who are employed through this program. Their dedication, hard work, and accomplishments continue to demonstrate what is possible when opportunity meets potential.

This recognition is a testament to the power of collaboration and the lasting impact of inclusive employment. Congratulations to Orlando Health and everyone who has helped make this initiative a success. We look forward to continuing to create more opportunities together.

The neurodevelopmental approach offers a comprehensive evaluation designed to better understand your child’s unique way of learning and developing.

It looks at key areas such as learning, motor skills, speech and language, processing, attention, and overall development. This approach has supported children with a wide range of diagnoses, including (but not limited to) ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, CAPD, autism, Down syndrome, and more.

Instead of focusing only on labels, this evaluation explores how your child learns best by identifying both strengths and areas of need.

After the evaluation, a personalized plan is created to target specific developmental goals. Families also receive practical guidance and simple strategies they can use at home to support progress between sessions.

Our goal is to help each child build strong foundational skills, make meaningful progress, and move toward reaching their full potential.

Clinic for Adults!

Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) is a hands-on approach that helps individuals improve how they produce speech sounds and develop safe, effective feeding skills. It is used with children and adults who may have a variety of speech or feeding challenges.

This therapy uses guided, step-by-step activities and simple tools to help teach the mouth muscles how to move correctly for clearer speech. By pairing movement, touch, and sound, OPT helps individuals better understand and practice the skills needed for everyday communication and eating.

Our therapists travel to Orlando twice a year to complete evaluations and create individualized home programs for families to follow. These programs provide structured, practical strategies that support continued progress between visits. They will be returning in September, and now is the time to learn more and register.
