Supporting Mental Health During Back-to-School Season
The start of a new school year can be exciting, but it often comes with added stress for both students and parents. New routines, academic pressures, and busy schedules can affect the whole family’s well-being.
Parents and caregivers can help by encouraging healthy routines, keeping open communication, and modeling positive coping skills such as taking breaks, exercising, or practicing mindfulness. Checking in with children about how they’re feeling and listening without judgment can also provide valuable support.
If stress or anxiety begins to impact your own daily life, remember that caring for your mental health is just as important.
WCHC’s Behavioral Health team is here to provide support for you and your family, helping families feel stronger and more resilient throughout the school year.
WCHC Behavioral Health is currently accepting new patients for both in-person and telehealth medication management and therapy. If you, or someone you know, are in need of care, please call the office today at 410-378-9696 to schedule.
