Rutherford Public Library August Newsletter
| |
Hey, we still have a month of summer left! There is still time for a getaway, a week of camp, or to finish your Summer Reading Challenges and earn some prizes. For those who insist on preparing for the fall, though, we have an SAT/ACT Success workshop and a Back to School with Less Stress program, both for parents and students. We have our regular book clubs, crafts, and author talks. As usual, the Children's Department will have the kids rocking and bopping, crafting, and playing all month long!
We have consolidated our program listings. For more information about an event or to register, please visit the links provided.
| |
Please note: Summer Hours are here! The library closes at 5pm on Fridays and is closed Saturdays from July 1 through September 4 (Labor Day Weekend).
The "All Together Now" Summer Reading Program is going strong. It's not too late to participate! Our Summer Reading Challenge ends September 23. Bring in your reading lists or finished Summer Reading Challenge Bingo card and claim your prizes!
Sign up today (if you haven't already) at the main desk to receive your packet and get a bonus prize! You may sign up online, but you still need to come in to get your rewards.

Rutherford Public Library Code of Conduct
We have updated our Code of Conduct, which applies to library visitors of all ages. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our rules and help make our space welcoming and safe for everyone.
We are excited to announce a new library resource for Rutherford residents! Introducing creativebug, which features live crafting lessons, a database of how-to videos, and a community space for crafters!
Going away? Bring the library with you! We have digital borrows for The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Gale ebooks, Hoopla, and Libby! Libby features ebooks. audio books, and magazines. Hoopla offers August Binge Passes and is celebrating Hip Hop's 50th anniversary with lots of great music borrows--however, you can borrow whatever music, tv shows, movies, or audiobooks you want!
As always, our patrons can borrow a hotspot or access museum passes, author talks, legal forms, investment and genealogy research, and much more!
