FROM THE FRIENDS

A monthly update from the Friends of Shorewood Public Library

In August, many adults and families take driving vacations.  If you are packing the car for a trip, you may want to add an audio book or music CD to listen to in the car or a book to read on vacation. Check out the Friends' book recommendations  in this month's blog for some ideas - th en visit the library.

There, you can c heck out audio books for adults or children, f ind new music to make the miles fly by, and l ook for popular titles on the Lucky Day shelf.

But you might also consider b uying used books at the Friends' Book Sale (and our twice-yearly media sale of audio-visual items)!  That way, if you leave them in a hotel or on a beach, you won't face any fines when you return. And if the books make it back home with you, you can donate them back to the Friends or place them in one of Shorewood's many Little Free Libraries.

Contact the Friends at shwd.libraryfriends@gmail.com if you are interested in joining or want to learn more about what we do.
