It's that time of year! In just a few weeks, Rainbow Days will be participating in North Texas Giving Day 2022, a DFW-wide day of online philanthropy and giving fueled entirely by generous individual supporters like YOU!

Please save the date for Thursday, Sept. 22, from 6 a.m. to midnight to make your financial gift in support of Rainbow Days and help us meet our goal of raising $45,000 for our mission and services. Your support helps us continue serving kids and meeting many critical needs experienced by the children, youth, families and communities we serve.

Through our 31st annual Back-to-School Celebration, Rainbow Days prepared Dallas-area homeless and at-risk children and youth to go back to school confident and ready for success. Through a celebratory event at the Dallas Market Center on Aug. 3 sponsored by CAPTRUST and supported by the Lone Star Monarchs as well as deliveries to partnering service sites in the weeks afterward, over 1,300 local students in need received new backpacks, school supplies and uniforms from Rainbow Days.

Rainbow Days' Family Connection team had a blast at our 2022 Outdoor Adventure Camp with Kidventure! Earlier this month, Rainbow Days provided 77 children living in homeless shelters or motels with the opportunity to experience a variety of exciting recreation activities and positive mentoring each day of camp. Daily activities included swimming, waterslides, rock climbing, sports, arts and crafts, teambuilding, obstacle courses and more.

At the end of the week, each camper was able to “go shopping” and fill a duffel bag with a variety of new items of their choosing, including T-shirts, shorts, shoes, socks, watches, sleeping bags, pillows and toys. Rainbow Days would like to give a big shoutout to Kidventure and all their supporters who had a hand in helping the children have an amazing experience!

Rainbow Days' Community Connection team cherishes its longstanding partnership with the Leadership Cadet Corps (LCC) team at Greiner Middle School in Dallas ISD.

To spread positivity this year, the LCC bathroom stalls at the school received some fresh paint and words of encouragement thanks to Ms. Kay and Ms. Shamila of the Community Connection team.
