First Brewers Announced for
King of Prussia Beerfest Royale
More brewers added each week

King of Prussia Beerfest Royale is less than two months away!

Named Main Line Today Magazine's "Best Beer Festival," King of Prussia Beerfest Royale is returning for its seventh year on October 4 & 6. A celebration of local craft and international beer, KOP Beerfest is suburban Philadelphia's must-attend beer festival. The event features more than 100 craft and international beers, inspired dishes from King of Prussia's best restaurants, and live bands on two stages, all under grand tents at the King of Prussia Mall.

New this year, enjoy a VIP experience during the evening session on October 6, including early entry, an opportunity to meet the brewers, access to limited-edition beers and a souvenir glass!

Proceeds from KOP Beerfest are used for physical improvement projects throughout King of Prussia - like landscaped medians, signage and linear parks.

First Avenue Road Diet to be Completed This Month

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians will soon enjoy a safer experience in Moore Park KOP along First Avenue.

ADA ramps, curbing and sidewalks are now complete. The entire project, including milling, overlay, re-striping the roadway, installing road signs and a new signalized pedestrian crossing, will be complete before the end of summer.

We thank you for your patience as we all adjust to the new traffic pattern.

Brand New Blooms on Allendale Road
New landscaped medians provide a vibrant new backdrop to an otherwise bland roadway

One of the most visible and ongoing programs of King of Prussia District is planting and maintaining roadway medians with vibrant landscapes. In addition to the landscaped medians along Route 202, First Avenue, Henderson Road and Route 76, three more island medians on Allendale Road were recently completed.

The new plantings include 1,545 perennials, shrubs, ornamental grasses and trees. By replacing the rubble and dirt with topsoil and engineered mulch, the planted medians will improve stormwater infiltration while reducing runoff.

In December 2017, King of Prussia District received permission from the Upper Merion Township Board of Supervisors to enhance the visual appearance and manage runoff on these island medians as part of our continuing efforts to make KOP more vibrant, attractive and prosperous. These island median enhancements were the first short-term project in King of Prussia District's 2017 ten-year Physical Improvement Action Plan.

The project was designed by Glackin Thomas Panzak. The KOP branch of Ruppert Landscape Company started excavation at the beginning of July and completed the project in 3 weeks.

Part of the funding to create these dynamic landscaped medians come from proceeds raised at King of Prussia Beerfest Royale. We look forward to seeing you in October to raise a stein and help fund more planted medians in King of Prussia District!
