We have plenty of free family events, including our Summer Outdoor Movies, as well as a variety of activities, like all our upcoming arts and crafts workshops! Summer Outdoor Movie Nights
Join us for outdoor movies under the stars all summer long! Bring a blanket and chairs to get comfortable to enjoy a fun evening with family and friends. This event is FREE and open to all! Movie start times vary; movies will start after sunset.

Cloud Bird: An Interactive Story Time
Join us for a special family event featuring local author Julia Y. Kim, creator of the gentle and inspiring children’s book Cloud Bird: The First Flight. Blaine's OysterFest
Join us in downtown Blaine for our annual OysterFest, a coastal celebration of Pacific Northwest flavors, local makers, live music, and the community spirit that makes Blaine one of Washington's most charming seaside towns. Enjoy exciting activities throughout the day, including oyster shucking competitions, contests (such as Pet Look-alike and Seagull Calling contests), live music, a beer garden, and, of course, delicious food.

Adult Golf Lessons
Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 is excited to partner with Birch Bay Village Golf Club to offer golf lessons to the community! The upcoming session, starting Tuesday, Aug. 4, will prepare players for playing on a regular course, including rules and etiquette, as well as accuracy, distance control and playing with other students.

Summer Hikes
Join us as we explore the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest this summer! We have two summer hikes left this year. Hikes depart by bus from the Birch Bay Activity Center at the noted time.
Cost is $5-$10 per hike; additional fees may apply depending on distance and parking. Registration is required for each hike.

Family Field Days
Families are invited to play, laugh, and move together during our summer Field Day pop-up events. Enjoy classic Field Day games like relays, group challenges, and cooperative activities designed for all ages and abilities. Come for a little while or stay the whole time, no registration needed! Introducing... Adrienne!
Adrienne is joining our instructor team to teach Gentle Flow Vinyasa Yoga and Mat Pilates, starting this month.
Adrienne is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and certified Upbeat Pilates instructor who is passionate about helping people build strength, improve mobility, and feel more at home in their bodies. She believes movement should be accessible, empowering, and enjoyable, whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or continuing a lifelong wellness journey.
Her classes combine mindful movement with functional strength, emphasizing proper alignment, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Adrienne strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where every participant feels encouraged to move at their own pace and celebrate their progress. Please join us in welcoming Adrienne!
