Safe Routes to Schools
Safe Routes to School is a nationwide initiative that encourages and enables students to walk and bicycle to school by implementing projects and activities that improve the health, well-being, and safety of children.
As we're welcoming back the new school year, please be mindful of more children walking, biking and getting to school. Drive safe, slow down when you're near schools and use extra caution to ensure our kids have safe routes to school! More tips:
· Leave enough time to arrive to your destination safely
· Watch for children riding bikes
· Follow directions from crossing guards and safety patrols
· Stop at all stop signs
· Look both ways before crossing the street or leaving driveways

Creating a More Inclusive Redwood City Through Language Access
Language is a critical way that people access information and connect with one another, building a strong community. At the City of Redwood City, we aim to build greater language access. Our initiative includes developing a Language Access Policy that will help ensure members of our diverse community can participate in the programs and services we offer.
As part of this process, we have developed a Language Needs Survey. Through the survey, we hope to hear directly from the community on any challenges you have experienced regarding language access and the changes you would like to see in the City.
Consider completing a survey, today! If you would like to fill out a paper copy, you can pick one up at City Hall, the Redwood City Community Centers, and the Redwood City Public Libraries.
