PREPARING FOR SUNDAY
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - Luke 12:34
To Ponder:
In pursuing riches on earth, are we making ourselves poor in God?
Reflection:
"Jesus calls us to put aside expectations, assumptions, and worldliness to remain faithful and hope in what seems impossible. We need to be the faithful and prudent stewards of our Lord’s house, and prepare ourselves for His always-unexpected return at an hour we do not expect...we can align our will and our hearts with the Lord, whose will prevails in the end — whenever that may be."

Blessing of the Animals
St. Martin’s will host a Blessing of the Animals outdoor event this Sunday, August 11th, at 9:30 AM. In addition to chair seating being provided, attendees are welcome to bring blankets to sit on-level with their pets.
The children have helped plan this and are looking forward to being part of the whole service. The morning will begin with a worship service and blessings for our furry, feathered, and scaly guests of honor followed by a fellowship hour that’s complete with iced tea and treats.
All pets must be properly restrained on a leash or in a carrier. We suggest you bring a water bowl, and the children are ready to help keep it full. Does Fluffy not travel well in a kitty carrier? Does Fido not like other dogs? Is Goldie a fish? Not to worry! Join the party with a pet photo for a remote blessing. Come – Sit – Stay!!
Set-up and take down help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
