Equipping a courageous Church alive with Christ’s transforming love
Music & Worship Leaders’ Retreat August 18-20 at Luther Crest

Outdoor Ministry of the MN Conference invites congregational musicians, clergy, and lay leaders to an August music retreat. Join musician and psalmist Richard Bruxvoort Cooligan and colleagues from around Minnesota for a few days of singing, music making, and rich conversations about music and worship that sustains and enlivens our souls and the soul of our communities.

There will be plenty of time to rest, create, and contemplate by the lake. The beauty of Lake Carlos and the woods surrounding Luther Crest Bible Camp will be the backdrop for our retreat. There are wonderful walking trails and views of the lake to encourage us to ponder our inner “wild spaces.”

Richard Bruxvoort Colligan is a musician, composer, teacher of the psalms and lover of puns. He serves the Olive Branch community in Rochester, MN, and lives with his family in Strawberry Point, Iowa.

Cost: $200/ person for double room; $250/ person for single room
Where: Luther Crest Bible Camp, Alexandria
When: August 18 at 6:00 pm – August 20 at 11:00 am
Register here by August 5.

Help for Communicating Your Stewardship Efforts

Are your church’s financial efforts changing to meet the challenges of fundraising in the 21st century? The national setting of the United Church of Christ is offering webinars for churches on making your church’s communications seamlessly overlap with your stewardship programs and help congregations stay “on-message” to your community. The webinars are led by The Lake Institute on Faith and Giving at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, a well-known and well-respected school that understands the basic nature of congregational life and giving. For more information on how you and your church can participate, click HERE.
